Comic Strip/Panel and Editorial Cartoon Submission Guidelines
Please send at least 24 cartoons. Please use letter-sized paper for your submission. (Anything larger only makes our job more difficult.) Send only copies; NEVER send originals.
You do not need to send color or Sunday cartoons in your initial submission; we will ask for those later if we require them. Of course if you do include color work, we are happy to review it.
You may send your cartoons in any size that will fit on letter-sized paper, but please make sure they will reduce to standard sizes. If you are unsure what the standard size is, please measure a cartoon from the newspaper and work in proportion.
At this time, we are not accepting submissions via e-mail or fax.
Please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope (SASE) for either the return of your submission or a reply. Submissions without an SASE will not receive a reply. Submissions from outside the United States will receive a reply letter; work will only be returned if an SASE with sufficient U.S. postage is included in the package. (WPWG immediately discards submissions after reviewing them if their return is not requested.)
Replies usually take about six weeks.
Please send your submission to the attention of Amy Lago, Comics Editor, at the address below.
Good luck!
